Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UKS GST (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Light Keeper mobile application and the website at mydailyprayerapp.com (together, the “Service”).

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information that stays on your device

Light Keeper is designed so that the most personal information you provide never leaves your phone. This includes your name, your answers to the in-app assessment, the personal plan generated from those answers, your journal entries and reflections, your prayer history and streaks, your reminder settings, and your selection of blocked applications.

This information is stored in your device’s local storage. We do not receive it, we do not store it on our servers, and we cannot access it. If you uninstall the Service, this information is deleted with the application.

Information we collect automatically

When you use the Service, we and our service providers collect certain technical and usage information, including:

– an anonymous identifier generated when you first open the application, which is not linked to your name, email address, or any account;

– application usage information, such as when the application is opened, which screens are viewed, and how far you progress through the initial setup;

– device and application information, such as your operating system, application version, and build number;

– a push notification token, if you enable notifications;

– an advertising identifier, where you have permitted tracking (see Section 5).

You do not create an account to use the Service. We do not ask for your email address, password, phone number, or date of birth.

Purchase information

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We and our subscription provider receive confirmation of the purchase, the plan selected, the price and currency, whether a free trial applied, and your subscription status.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information described above to:

– provide, operate, and maintain the Service;

– deliver content, reminders, and notifications you have requested;

– manage subscriptions, entitlements, and restoration of purchases;

– understand how the Service is used and improve it;

– measure the effectiveness of our advertising;

– detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse;

– comply with legal obligations.

3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell your information to data brokers. We share information with the following categories of recipients:

– Service providers. Companies that provide infrastructure, analytics, subscription management, and notification delivery on our behalf, including Google (Firebase) and RevenueCat.

– Advertising partners. Meta Platforms, Inc., which receives application and purchase events so that we can measure and improve our advertising campaigns.

– Platform providers. Apple and Google, in connection with app distribution, payments, and privacy-preserving install measurement.

– Legal and business transfers. We may disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Please note that our advertising partner uses the information it receives for its own purposes in addition to ours, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

4. ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS

We advertise the Service on third-party platforms. To understand which campaigns are effective, we share limited application and purchase events with our advertising partner, as described in Section 3.

Depending on where you live, this activity may be considered a “sale” of personal information or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under applicable law. Please see Section 6 for how to opt out.

We do not display advertising inside the Service. We do not use the information you enter in the in-app assessment for advertising purposes, because that information never leaves your device.

5. APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY (iOS)

On iOS devices, we ask for your permission before using your device’s advertising identifier, using Apple’s standard App Tracking Transparency prompt.

If you grant permission, your advertising identifier may be shared with our advertising partner to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. If you decline, your advertising identifier is not accessed or shared, and campaign measurement is limited to aggregated, privacy-preserving reporting provided by Apple.

You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS IN THE UNITED STATES

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the following rights, subject to the terms of your state’s law:

– to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and to request a copy of it;

– to request deletion of your personal information;

– to request correction of inaccurate personal information;

– to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of its use for targeted advertising;

– to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information;

– to appeal a decision we make regarding your request;

– not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising purposes, email us at support@mydailyprayerapp.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share”. We will apply limited data use restrictions to any information we transmit about you. Declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt described in Section 5 also limits what is shared, although it is narrower than a full opt-out.

How to exercise your rights

Email support@mydailyprayerapp.com and tell us what you would like us to do. Because the Service does not use accounts, we may need to ask you for additional information in order to locate the records associated with your device. If we cannot verify your request, we will explain why.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law, generally 45 days, which may be extended once where permitted. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf with written permission.

7. YOUR RIGHTS IN THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM

If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

We rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, for providing the Service and managing subscriptions; legitimate interests, for maintaining, securing, and improving the Service; consent, for advertising measurement using your advertising identifier and for push notifications; and compliance with legal obligations.

To exercise your rights, email support@mydailyprayerapp.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our representative in the EEA and the United Kingdom for the purposes of Article 27 GDPR is [EEA/UK REPRESENTATIVE].

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred out of the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an applicable adequacy decision.

9. DATA RETENTION

Information stored on your device remains there until you delete it or uninstall the Service.

Information we collect is retained for as long as your installation remains active and for up to 24 months following your last use of the Service, after which it is deleted, except where we are required to retain records for longer to comply with tax, accounting, or consumer protection obligations. Information shared with our advertising and platform partners is retained according to their own retention schedules.

10. SECURITY

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you within the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
